You Get What You Pay For: Quality! La Mer is a classic case of “you get what you pay for”. The food is wonderful and not as pricey as some of the other high-end places in the area. I especially recommend the quiche! Our room had a wrap-around balcony and the ocean view was just amazing. Next time we will try the ground room floors which had lovely garden views.The location couldn't have been better. We were able to rent bikes, which gave us quick and easy access to the immediate area, including Mallory Square which is just a few minutes away on the bikes. We were lucky enough to get great food wherever we went. You have lots of restaurant choices, from trendy/pricey to more reasonable local food. DJ's Clam Shack is perfect. (Hint: Lobster Rolls!)
The one negative I can think of is that the beach was not private, however it was very well kept and not like a typical public beach. Guest do get free umbrella rental which was nice. We would have loved to stay a few days longer but had already made reservations in Disney. We will be back!
