ReviewsWhen traveling to Key West, an excellent accommodations choice is a bed and breakfast. A Key West bed and breakfast will offer a calm, inviting place of respite from the tropical sun, surf and tiring festivities that are sure to fill your Key West vacation. When you think of coming to this laid back paradise and visiting the Hemingway home, Margaritaville, Truman's Little White House or the Southernmost Point Marker, also think of ending the day in a cozy bed and breakfast. The Popular House bed and breakfast is consistently rated five stars by guests, is inexpensive, and a pleasure to come home to after a fun filled day.
My wife is in charge of booking vacations. She takes care of everything from the flights to the hotel reservations. Unless you have the money to stay in five star resorts all the time and tend to travel on a set budget like most of us, the lodging can be a bit hit or miss. She tries to get us close to the action and the main drag through town so we're not driving and parking every day to get to the area we actually want to visit. This is usually the largest challenge because most places charge a premium for this luxury. We just got home from our first trip down to Key West and we stayed at the KW BnB. I'm back to work this morning but wanted to drop a review in your box before I got busy. I have a very stressful job and a relaxing vacation is vital to my sanity. On the way home last night on the plane I turned to my wife and said; "you planned this trip like a rock star." This place is like Disneyland for adults and the people are really cool. So many bars and things to do, you can actually stay here for a week and not get bored on the third day like most destinations. I was really impressed with how close we were to everything and yet how quiet it was. There's a hammock on the top balcony and several places to sit and read a book or just take a nap. It's clean and cheap in comparison to the hotels nearby but by no means low in quality. All hardwood floors and even walls, the architecture is great and makes you feel like you're staying in a mansion that was turned into a museum. In this case it's a home that's been converted to a hotel. I spent a lot of time just napping and reading in the quiet setting that abounds here. If you want something affordable that's right in the heart of the historic district, the popular house is a home run.
